Fan Fiction

I love fan fiction...I love reading it and I have amazed myself by actually writing some. I'm only attempting to explain my view on this, so I hope you all understand.

There's been much written about Ray and Livy. We've had expansions on their story--filling in the gaps we felt were missing from the movie and story line. Let's face it, if it was up to us, TMoOD would have been a long-running series--following Ray and Livy's lives through the years, with all their sweetness and romance included.

The writers among us attempt to do this to our satisfaction, because we all love these characters so much. We've created OUR visions of their past and their future, moments and events we'd like to see come to pass for them, and the cast that surrounds them. We all love this story--it's honestly changed our lives, in that we have met many new friends because of it--we don't want it to end.

At this point in time, I myself have hit a wall. As much as I want to write, even feel the need to write, I don't have anything. I can't even call it writer's block--I don't consider myself worthy of the term. I'm sure others feel like I do. It's a matter of having a thought, a seed that might develop into a story. A fresh view or situation that might work. And when it's not there, you have nothing.

So that said, I guess I'm just asking for more patience and consideration for the writers. It's very frustrating to want to write, to know that others are anxiously waiting and not have anything to offer.

There will always be fiction pieces here on the blog. We just have to look at them as unexpected treats, and savor them when they arrive.

Skeet Sighting: TCA Pasadena 2

We don't get to see him that much , so when it comes, we are going to post. I like his skin color here more, he's quite tanned and looking healthy.

The indoor pictures were a bit pale but he still sizzled with the intense look.

I've noticed that this shirt looks very much like the shirt he wore before (with curly hair) in Venice, CA a few months earlier. His image quite made a turn around now that I'll only discount the possibility that he owns a number of striped shirts these days.

And while I'm at it, those black shoes look very familiar too...

Skeet Sighting: CBS Party

These are older pictures, I am not sure if any of you have seen these.

Taken from NY Tavern on the "Green" (it's a sign!)

Skeet Sighting: TCA Pasadena 2006

So the press conferences have begun.

I could be wrong but it seems he's bulked up a bit now. Liking it! The hair is not so bad and that chiseled face! I am in Skeet heaven tonight.

Wilson in person

Look at what I've recently discovered from a recent trip.

Yes, that's right, it's where they filmed the first meeting and other scenes (you name a few). We stumbled upon it by some extreme luck. We didn't find the Singleton farm though but I have an inkling it was nearby.

Left: Wilson set from a distance. It was a ghost town, quaint and small.
Right: Rev & Mrs. Case house

The church

Left: the coach (might not be the exact one) but this could be the opening window scene
Right: The view of the grain elevators

Left: two grain elevators (remember in the barn dance? these were painted on the wall behind the band)
Right: Engineer leaving after checking the train

Left: this is one of many of ponds out there. We ran out of time to really look for the real one.
Right: this was a scene in the movie, guess which one it was.

Left: the train--not the same one but similar. I believe the one in the movie was number 41.
Right: Could this be the train station? not sure if this was the exact one but it's one of the main stops in the area near Drumheller and one in their visitor's guide.

Who lives near Edmonton or Calgary again? is it Mande? This would be a nice discovery jaunt during one lazy weekend. We had a great time playing detective as they were very pretty good at not disclosing movie locations to the visitors.
